Le Diners de Gala [] Finca Luna Serena

Finca Luna Serena is launching a series of themed evenings, with unusual gourmet cuisine, inspired by famous artists. This evening will also showcase the works of local artists as well as donating a portion of the ticket sales to a local organized charity.

We came across this idea by asking a recent arrival to SMA, Rebecca Floeter Harris, to create an interesting event to be held on our property. Rebecca’s background is very diverse with experience in catering, archaeology, public relations, and film production. She produced many special events in Los Angeles for the film industry as well as for non-profits.

The first dinner event in this series will based on the cookbook written by Salvador Dali in 1973 and will feature a menu inspired by the book. This special evening is titled “LES DINERS DE GALA”.

A local artist, Kate Welsh, will be our featured artist. Her paintings will be on display and available for sale at this “Gala” event.

A portion of the ticket proceeds will be donated to SMA’s School for the Deaf (https://www.eeesma.com).

This will not be your ordinary dinner party!  Seating is limited to create an intimate atmosphere and will be the catalyst for a creative portal for everyone to experience a sensory immersion into the world of the “dinner muse.” If you would like to dress in a manner inspired by Salvador Dali or his wife, Gala, please do so.

The event will be held on Saturday May 20 from 4pm to 8pm.

The tour begins with a description of the making of olive oil and the curing of olives and includes a tasting of the Finca Luna Serena oils, olives and tapenade. Then you will enjoy a leisurely walk of approximately 45 minutes around the farm learning about the growing of olives in a sustainable organic environment. Finally you will enjoy a delicious country lunch that showcases our products with a complimentary glass of wine or beer. We utilize fresh fruits, vegetables and eggs from the farm whenever possible. We are also happy  to accommodate particular needs and preferences. And, of course, you are welcome to bring additional wine or beer if you like. Feed the chickens and turkeys.  Get away from the noise and crowds of San Miguel and spend an afternoon on the country.
