For a young girl with a tough life in an orphanage, things are not easy, especially at Christmas. But the intrepid Annie keeps in her heart a song and the hope of a locket (the only inheritance she has from her parents). One day fed up with the mean Mrs. Hannigan (Oscar winner Kathy Bates), Annie flees the orphanage determined to find her mother and father.
