Rosh Hashanah is the festival that marks the beginning of the Jewish New Year. This holiday celebrates the creation of the world. The term Rosh Hashanah loosely translates to the head of the year in Hebrew.
Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is the holiest day of the Jewish year. Leading up to and on that day, Jews traditionally ask for forgiveness for our wrongdoings from God and from our fellow human beings. Jews strive to transcend our physical bodies on Yom Kippur so that we can focus on our souls.

Rosh Hashaná es la fiesta que marca el comienzo del Año Nuevo judío. Esta festividad celebra la creación del mundo. El término Rosh Hashaná se traduce en hebreo como la cabeza del año.
Yom Kippur, el Día de la Expiación, es el día más sagrado del año judío. Antes y durante ese día, los judíos pedimos tradicionalmente perdón por nuestras malas acciones a Dios y a nuestros semejantes. Los judíos nos esforzamos por trascender nuestros cuerpos físicos en Yom Kippur para poder centrarnos en nuestras almas.
