Join the Center for Global Justice in a visit to an amazing community activist/education center– CEDESA–El Centro de desarrollo agropecuario (The Center for Agricultural Development). CEDESA provides training for local people in many sustainable agricultural technologies as well as ecological practices such as rain-water capture and the construction of dry toilets. They are also avid activists in defense of the territory and have been leaders in the struggles for clean water and to stop open-pit mining in our region. Their goal is to strengthen the productive abilities of local campesinos along with their ability to make autonomous decisions as communities, while broadening their knowledge of the ecological challenges that they face. The fee of $800 pesos includes transportation, entry fees, lunch and a guide/interpreter.
Space is limited, preregistration is required. For further information contact Olivia at admin@globaljusticecenter.org
