Holiday Shopping to Support the S.P.A.

Just in time for holiday gift-giving, the S.P.A. has beautiful and unique hand-crafted items, perfect for cat and dog lovers, and S.P.A. T-shirts and caps. We offer cat, dog, and day of the dead themed aprons, hot pads, oven mitts, tortilla warmers, oil-cloth bags, small zippered and lined pouches, bandanas, doggie bow ties, wine bottle covers and much more. Items are great for travelers as they take up very little luggage space. See photos HERE for examples.

Take care of your shopping list (and indulge yourself too) and help the S.P.A. at the same time! All proceeds (100%) benefit the S.P.A. cats and dogs!

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 18, 9-3:30: The S.P.A. will be at the Organic Market, Ancha de San Antonio 123. Our table is inside the lower level. The Organic Market is at Mercado Sano on the Ancha near Hotel Real de Minas on Stirling Dickinson.

We welcome donations to the S.P.A. at both places. Remember: anonymous donors have agreed to match all new donations to the S.P.A. up to a total of $2,500 USD through December 31!

The Sociedad Protectora de Animales de San Miguel de Allende has been leading the charge in animal welfare since 1980. We are the only no-kill animal shelter for dogs and cats in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and we house about 100 animals available for adoption: Dogs or Cats . We also have a clinic within our facilities that offers lower-cost medical care for pets owned by the public.

We have many goals at the S.P.A. We want to educate our community about the importance of taking care of their pets and giving them the health care they need, i.e., vaccinations and sterilization, and provide an economical means to satisfy these responsibilities. We would like to increase awareness and appreciation of animals so that others can enjoy the magic that comes from loving and owning a pet. Teaching others to be kind to and tolerant of animals is another one of our goals. Regarding our own S.P.A. animals, we are searching for permanent, loving homes for all of them. We also want to provide the best living conditions for our animals while they are at the S.P.A., waiting for their forever homes.

Please join us in achieving these goals. by supporting our fundraisers, becoming a member, donating supplies,  or joining our foster program. Unfortunately, during the pandemic, we are not accepting volunteers or visits. As long as certain precautions are followed, adoptions continue and our clinic is open.
