Mexico will host equestrian stars in the Otomí Grand Prix

Mexico will host one of the most important events for equestrian sports, as the GNP Otomí Grand Prix will take place, a new league where the country will join the United States and Canada.
At a press conference, Juan Manuel Cossio, president of the Mexican Equestrian Federation, Rafael David Faes, director of the FEM international area, Daniel Rihan Salum, and Francisco Tello of the Otomí Club Hípico organizing committee, presented this new league.
This new equestrian event is classified as a five-star event, as it will feature 50 of the best equestrian figures in the world,
This is due to the fact that only riders who are ranked worldwide will be able to compete, including the Mexican Olympic team.
The competition will award a purse of 10 million pesos, which will be distributed at all the events.
Among the outstanding Mexican riders will be Nicolás Pizarro and Jaime Azcárraga.
While at the international level, Brazilians Rodrigo Pessoa, gold medalist in 2004, and Santiago Lambre will make their presentation in Aztec lands.
The GNP Otomí Grand Prix will have dates in Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
For Mexico, the venues chosen were San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, from October 28 to 31 at the Club Hípico Otomí. And Monterrey, Nuevo León, where it will be held from November 4 to 7 at La Silla, Monterrey.
New York, in the United States, and Vancouver, in Canada, were the cities chosen to hold this elite event for international equestrian sports.
