“Noojin disappears into Seeger’s persona…. Anybody who is a Seeger fan should make a bee-line.” – Curtain Up
“Should not be missed by anyone who loves Seeger or good music.” – Theatre LifePete Seeger was a larger-than-life figure in American popular music, a chart-topping folksinger who became synonymous with social activism, and penned iconic songs such as “If I Had a Hammer,” “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?”, and “Turn, Turn, Turn!” He was also largely responsible for popularizing the unofficial Cuban national anthem “Guántanamera,” a song he first recorded in 1963. Seeger was a vocal opponent of the U.S. embargo of Cuba.
Randy Noojin’s award-winning show Seeger dramatizes an evening when the folksinger gave a benefit concert against the embargo, before an audience of twenty thousand people. Noojin, an acclaimed actor and musician, and a protégé of Circle Repertory Company’s artistic director Marshall W. Mason, performs a dozen of Seeger’s signature songs. Over the course of the show, Noojin, as Seeger, tells the story of his awakening as an activist, and his struggles with the blacklist during the McCarthy era.
Noojin returns to the San Miguel Playhouse for the first time since his memorable 2015 show Hard Travelin’ with Woody, a tribute to Woody Guthrie.

Hi folks, I just got home after one of the most enjoyable performances at the San Miguel Playhouse. Don’t miss Seeger, a multi-media show written and performed by multi-talented Randy Noojin. It should not be missed by anyone who loves Pete Seeger, good music, or believes in human rights and justice.
There are three more shows: Mon, Jan 20, 7:00pm; Tues, Jan 21, 7:00pm; Wed, Jan 22, 3:00pm.
Don’t miss this GREAT show.
