If you want to enjoy great steaks and grilled chicken, Tio Lucas is the place for you.

With the majority of the tables set around an open courtyard, the restaurant is inviting and the atmosphere is lively.
This stylish place with a silver star-covered courtyard is known for its beef, especially the fillet steak, and for being ‘reliable.’ Happy hour runs from 6pm to 8pm Monday to Friday, and there’s regular live music, from Cuban to guitar and jazz.

There’s something about TÃo Lucas that makes a night there feel like the epitome of a great vacation. The food is rich and flavorful, the open patio setting is charming, and the bar is a cozy alternative for those who just want to hang out and enjoy the music. And then there’s Max, the ever-present owner and manager who seems genuinely devoted to making sure everyone is having a good time. The beef, which gets top billing, is succulent and generously served; the fish and chicken are excellent, and the Caesar salad is something special.

Tio Lucas has long been a favorite with both locals and tourists. They are known for their steaks and salads. They mix Caesar salads at your table, and make a show of flaming desserts and Irish coffees. We like all their food, and eating there is always fun. The restaurant has fun, upscale Mexican décor, with an open patio anchored by a large tree that is decorated with lovely hanging lanterns. The ever-present owner, Max, is a larger-than-life character of a host. Best of all, they have a great jazz trio that plays every night beginning at 9. The restaurant is almost always busy late night, especially during high seasons, so we recommend reservations.

I was walking home today and stopped at Tio Lucas. It is directly across from the theater and I have walked past so many times, that I can’t count.
I had heard good things about their food and people are right. I had a great taco salad, prompt courteous service and to top it off a haprist was playing.
Stop be sometime. I am sure you will agree with me.
