For quick, convenient grocery shopping, we go to La Comer – formerly Mega. They carry almost everything you would expect to see in a supermarket, from produce to canned and boxed foods, to spices, dairy products, fish and meats, etc. Â (In addition to food, they also sell beer, wine and alcohol). The store is located on the south side of San Miguel, where Carretera a Celaya intersects with Libramiento Manuel Zavala. Because we love to walk, we usually walk to the store and take a cab home (there is a cab stand in front of the store).
