Mary Brenaman’s painting subjects vary from horses (one of her favorites), people and landscapes with a few contemporary/abstract pieces thrown in — but her focus is decidedly local. Her wide impressionist strokes capture the feeling of Mexico and certainly encapsulate her love of the country. Mary Brenaman’s work is found at Fábrica la Aurora (Galeria OMO).
“When I moved to Mexico I was delighted to find horses are still a part of daily life for many people. I love to paint them and celebrate their beauty and majesty.”
