We gave Marty Kimmel a shell of a room, and she transformed it into a gorgeous, inviting, warm, versatile space for the reading and meeting room for the Literary Sala. She transformed the room with exactly the right paint; created beautiful lighting; selected perfect large posters for the walls; designed tasteful, strikingly beautiful furniture and worked with the carpenters to have it made; and completed the room with every detail in place. Her taste and ideas are exquisite, and she is extremely easy to work with. We are thrilled with the results and would hire her again with great enthusiasm.

I’ve worked with Marty on a few of my homes, and it is always a pleasure. She is enthusiastic, and has a great eye. With a talent for incorporating important existing piece, she transformed my houses into sophisticated, comfortable spaces that reflect my personality too.
Marty brings her talent as a painter to her interior designs. Using color and light, with paint and selective purchases to stay within our budget, she transformed a boring condominium into a pretty and inviting home for my mother when she moved. Marty was sensitive to her needs, and created a space that we all love to spend time in. I can’t recommend her highly enough, and will definitely work with her again.
Marty taught me the importance of color. Her ability to see a design solution instead of individuals items is outstanding. She was able to show me how to make my house more cohesive and flowing through the use of color. One of my bathrooms didn’t feel right. The granite, tile , cabinets and flooring didn’t appear to go together. Marty selected a color for the walls, one I would never have thought of, and the transformation was amazing. I highly recommend Marty for her design abilities, but also for how easy she is to work with.
