Mama Mia is a pretty shabby bar that is very, very popular with young people and is mostly frequented by tourists and eschewed by locals as a “tourist trap.” That being said, you are a tourist, so you might want to check it out.

Yes, I agree the new Mama Mia is lovely with widely spaced tables in the courtyard, some under cover and some in the open. We had lunch there yesterday. The mango margaritas were so good that we had to have two, one on the rocks and one frozen. I started with the pumpkin soup, which was very good, but I don’t think it was pumpkin. Maybe squash? Then I had the spaghetti carbonara, also quite good. Hubby had chicken fajitas which he thought was excellent. After that, we staggered off to buy some Rancho Viejo chicken on Canal and then a cab home. A nice nap completed the excellent day.
