The San Miguel de Allende Music Festival began 40 years ago when, under the direction of Carmen Massip de Hawkins, a dedicated group of music lovers established the tradition of presenting chamber musicians of the highest international level in San Miguel de Allende.

Having supported the development of more than 1,000 young musicians since 1979, the Festival continues this tradition into the next decade. Grounded in the presentation of the great artists of our time and dedicated to the development of the next generation of musicians, The Chamber Music Festival has firmly established itself as the premier chamber music event in Mexico and as an important destination for international music.
