One of my favorite weekly restaurants is tucked into the courtyard inside the Instituto Allende. The food is simply delicious: fresh, great presentation, and the chef has a very good palate. Best poached eggs, they even have 3, 4, 5 min. eggs.
El Cafe is open from 9-6 Mon. thru Sat.–sometimes a wedding will preempt Sat.
The quality far exceeds the prices, and Juan the waiter is unfailingly polite.
