Amigos del Parque San Miguel de Allende is a civic organization dedicated to creating and maintaining a central gathering place in historic Parque Benito Juarez for the San Miguel community and its visitors.  Amigos del Parque raises funds and facilitates public/private initiatives to improve the existing infrastructure, promote cultural heritage, and encourage sustainability throughout the park.

 
Our first step in improving the park was to transform the childrens´ play area. We replaced all playground equipment and added new lighting and security fencing. Our next step will be to build an area that meets our youth´s needs. We would also like to make the park a cultural center by sponsoring community events and festivals for our citizens and visitors alike.
