From August 1 to October 18, 16 harvests will be carried out in four municipalities of Guanajuato.
Guanajuato, July 30, 2026. The Guanajuato 2026 Grape Harvest season has arrived, which this year offers 16 wine tourism experiences, celebrations that complement each other by living the traditional grape treading, in tours of vineyards, tastings, tastings, gastronomic experiences, cultural shows and meetings with wine producers.
It is a pleasure to extend the invitation of the Government of the People through the Ministry of Tourism and Identity (SECTURI), to live this cultural and tourist tradition that is offered through the Guanajuato Grape Harvest 2026 season, a celebration that brings together its 16 wine tourism experiences in the municipalities of: Dolores Hidalgo Cradle of National Independence, San Miguel de Allende, Irapuato and Silao, consolidating the state as one of the main destinations for Mexican wine.
As every year, local, national and international visitors are welcome to experience the Guanajuato Grape Harvest 2026 season, one of the most important celebrations of the state’s wine culture, which will take place from August 1 to October 18.
Because the richness of the harvests must be lived and shared, for all that they represent: the culminating moment of the vine cycle, when the vineyards open their doors to share with visitors the grape harvest through experiences that combine wine, gastronomy, tradition, culture, music and the richness of the Guanajuato landscapes.
The Secretary of Tourism and Identity, Lupita Robles León, stressed that this season strengthens Guanajuato’s wine tourism vocation and generates benefits for producers, service providers and host communities.
“The harvests are an opportunity to show the quality of our wines, the talent of our producers and the tourist wealth of Guanajuato. Each event allows visitors to discover unique experiences that promote economic development and strengthen the identity of our regions,” he said.
For more than two months, attendees will be able to enjoy activities such as the traditional grape treading, tours of vineyards, tastings, tastings, gastronomic experiences, cultural shows and meetings with wine producers.
Currently, Guanajuato remains one of the leading states in wine production in Mexico as it currently ranks fourth nationally in wine production, with 82 wine projects, of which 27 offer wine tourism experiences; so it has a solid wine tourism offer that integrates vineyards, wineries, wine routes and specialized experiences that attract thousands of visitors every year.
