If you’ve ever struggled with mobility, balance, or the small everyday tasks that used to feel easy — you’re not alone. And there’s help, right here in San Miguel.
We’d like to introduce you to CRISMA, a nonprofit rehabilitation center that offers a wide range of physical and mental health services, including fall prevention, occupational therapy, hydrotherapy, and rehabilitation after accidents or strokes — services that are especially valuable to many in our expat community.
Fall prevention at CRISMA includes personalized balance and strength training to reduce your risk and increase confidence.
Occupational therapy helps individuals regain independence in daily activities like cooking, dressing, bathing, and using everyday tools — especially after surgery, injury, or a neurological event.
Hydrotherapy, conducted in a warm, therapeutic pool, is ideal for easing joint pain, improving mobility, and speeding up recovery in a gentle, low-impact environment.
CRISMA also provides specialized neuro-rehabilitation for people recovering from strokes, traumatic injuries, and other complex conditions — helping patients regain movement, speech, and quality of life.
And the best part? Every paid therapy session helps fund therapy for local children whose families can’t afford care.
It’s a win-win: you receive expert care while directly supporting someone else’s healing journey.
