Presented by Dr. Eleazar Romero and Natalie Taylor
Most of you have heard of the Ignacio RamÃrez Market and the Nigromante Cultural Center. But did you know that both bear the name of one of nineteenth-century Mexico’s greatest intellectuals? Ignacio RamÃrez was among the principal architects of the progressive Constitution of 1857 and one of the most influential thinkers of his era.
We invite you to come to a two-part, bilingual lecture at Casa Nigromante, the house where Ignacio Ramirez was born on June 22,1818. Located at Umaran 38, it is part of the University of Guanajuato, a beautiful center for the arts and culture.
