Amateur and professional boxers will step into the ring for the Red Cross in San Miguel de Allende

The Capi Correa stadium will host on May 30 “A Round for Life”, a boxing function organized in support of the Mexican Red Cross San Miguel de Allende delegation, as part of the institution’s annual fundraising campaign.
The event is promoted by the Mexican Boxing School and includes a card made up of amateur and professional fights. According to the organizers, part of the proceeds will be destined to the work of attention and operation of the Red Cross in the municipality.
Rodrigo El Pato Pacheco, promoter of the Mexican Boxing School in San Miguel de Allende, said that the objective is to contribute to the fundraising goal established by the institution for 2026.
The activity will begin with an amateur festival made up of 20 fights between boxers from San Miguel and the Michoacán national team. The fights will serve to pit local representatives against fighters from other states within the amateur category.
Later, at 7 p.m., the professional function will begin, made up of 10 fights. It was reported that six of the participating boxers belong to the Mexican Boxing School of San Miguel de Allende.
The main fights will be headed by Uriel Bueno and Toro Tovar, who will fight eight rounds. Competitors from the United States and Mexico City will also participate.
Within the card, a fight of the Rabbit, world champion in the super bantamweight category, is scheduled, who will represent Mexico City. So far, the opponent he will face during the performance has not been defined.
Pacheco indicated that general access will cost 50 pesos and tickets will be distributed by the Red Cross as part of the collection actions. In addition, he announced that the first 100 people will be able to enter at no cost.
It was also reported that there will be ringside tickets priced at 200 pesos. As part of the promotion prior to the event, on Saturdays, May 16 and 23, there will be a dynamic of three tickets for 400 pesos at the facilities of the Mexican Boxing School.
The organizers pointed out that the function is planned as a family event and that it will have a security presence during the development of the fights.
