We open the season with the return of one of our most popular artists, pianist Richard Dowling, who has wowed with numerous concerts for us; but not for five years!  Texan Dowling studied piano from age 5 and is a Steinway Artist who made his orchestral debut at Lincoln Center and is both a classical performer and a ragtime specialist; the first performer in history to perform all Scott Joplin’s works in public.  This premiered for us and in two sold-out recitals at Carnegie Hall. Richard is a favorite of our audiences with his engaging anecdotes about the music he plays and his virtuosi playing style. The program of classical piano works will include music by classical composers with Gershwin’s iconic Rhapsody In Blue as the rousing finale.
