A very hungry couple celebrates their anniversary in a small Greek restaurant, hoping for a drink and a quiet meal. Instead, they encounter Stephen, an eccentric waiter who takes control of everything—from their order to their emotions. As hunger grows and tempers flare, the trio becomes locked in a battle of wits, neurosis and absurdity. “Slow Food” is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud comedy exploring marriage, desire and the undexpected people who interrupt our lives.
Playreaders is delighted to have Fil Formicola, BJ Abrahamson and Gerri Baruch playing the parts of Stephen the controlling waiter and the unsuspecting couple, Peter and Irene. Marthe Fraser directs. Miguel Torres is light and sound technician.
