From October 21 to November 1, the Otomí Equestrian Club will host the “Mexico Fall Tour 2026,” an international event that will also boost tourism and the economy of San Miguel de Allende.
San Miguel de Allende is preparing to host one of the most prominent events in international show jumping. From October 21 to November 1, the Otomí Equestrian Club will open its doors to the “Mexico Fall Tour 2026,” with free admission so that families in San Miguel can enjoy a world-class sporting spectacle.
For two weeks, the city will be the venue for international competitions bringing together leading figures in equestrian show jumping. The first stage will take place from October 21 to 25, featuring the CSI5* category—the highest level in this discipline—while the CSI3* competition will be held from October 28 to November 1.
In addition to the sporting events, the tournament represents an opportunity to boost tourism and generate economic activity in San Miguel de Allende’s hotels, restaurants, shops, and service businesses.
Events like this are part of the tourism initiatives that Mauricio Trejo’s administration seeks to promote through an economic development strategy that capitalizes on the city’s international recognition and fosters opportunities for local businesses.
For the municipal administration, maintaining San Miguel as an attractive destination for domestic and international visitors is a priority linked to economic development and the opportunities that tourism generates for families.
The “Mexico Fall Tour” also reaffirms the role of the Otomí Equestrian Club as a specialized venue that, with years of experience and infrastructure, has helped position San Miguel within the international equestrian circuit.
Unlike other high-level sporting events, admission will be free for the general public, allowing residents and visitors to experience up close a discipline that combines precision, technique, and the connection between rider and horse.
The event adds to the city’s tourism, cultural, and sports offerings—a city internationally recognized for its architecture, cuisine, heritage, and hospitality.
Thus, San Miguel de Allende will continue its schedule of international activities throughout October, combining tourism, sports, and experiences open to the public that reinforce the destination’s appeal.
International equestrian event with the participation of Olympic riders and world champions. Admission is free and various amenities are offered for the whole family.
Get ready for world-class equestrian sport at the GNP Otomí Grand Prix 2025, which takes place at the stunning Centro Ecuestre Otomí.
This prestigious event welcomes clubs and groups affiliated with the Mexican Equestrian Federation to compete in international show jumping competitions. With an impressive prize purse of $5,690,000 pesos, the stakes are high and the excitement even higher.
This event features two exciting show jumping competitions: CSI2 from October 8 to 12 and CSI3 from October 15 to 19.
Whether you’re a seasoned equestrian enthusiast or a curious newcomer, this is the perfect opportunity to witness elite riders and magnificent horses in action.
