Camino Al Arte Presents Memorias de Chihuahua, a Celebration of Art, Tradition, and Northern Mexican Culture

Comunidad Creativa Camino Al Arte, A.C. presents Memorias de Chihuahua, its second annual fundraising event, an evening inviting guests to discover the rich cultural heritage of Chihuahua through art, cuisine, and music.

On October 15, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Camino Al Arte, in Atotonilco, San Miguel de Allende, will welcome friends, neighbors, artists, and culture enthusiasts for an experience inspired by the landscapes, flavors, and traditions of northern Mexico.

The evening will feature dinner, welcome cocktails, and live Norteño music outdoors beneath the mesquite trees. As a highlight of the evening, guests will have the opportunity to discover the ceramic tradition of Mata Ortiz, recognized for its artistic richness and its connection to Chihuahua’s cultural heritage, through the work of young master artisans Silvia Veloz and Manuel Rodríguez Arras.The artists will share their creative processes and present pieces available for purchase.

Through Memorias de Chihuahua, Camino Al Arte seeks to generate support to continue using art, creativity, and reading to strengthen the social fabric of rural communities in San Miguel de Allende. Since its founding in 2023, the organization has provided space, instruction, and resources for more than 1,000 children, young people, and parents from up to 10 rural communities each year to participate in activities that use creativity and literature to cultivate and strengthen self-awareness, empathy, creativity, and individual perspectives on life.
