For the past 27 years, the eyes of the film industry have been on León, San Miguel de Allende and Irapuato for the Guanajuato International Film Festival. The festival was created in 1997 as a direct response to a crisis in the Mexican film industry, which at the time was only producing between four and seven feature films a year.
Sarah Hoch, founder and executive director of (GIFF) will tell us more about this year’s festival. GIFF provides many opportunities for the exhibition and appreciation of films and rewards quality so that artists can continue producing.
