Comunidad Creativa Camino al Arte, A.C., invites the community to immerse themselves in the magic of Mexican tradition through a five-day Day of the Dead inspired mask-making workshop led by celebrated artist Diego Castañeda “Yolotlnahualli.”

From October 13–17, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, participants will step into the centuries-old world of cartonería, learning authentic techniques to design and create their own masks and ornaments. Guided by Yolotlnahualli— recognized at Guanajuato’s prestigious XXXV Concurso Estatal de Cartonería—this workshop is more than an art class; it is a journey into culture, creativity, and celebration.

Participants will:

• Design and build masks and creations from scratch
• Bring them to life with vibrant color and personal expression
• Take home one-of-a-kind pieces that will make Day of the Dead celebrations even more meaningful, year after year
