With traditions more alive than ever, the 70th “Feria de la Candelaria” is ready and will be held in Zeferino Gutiérrez Park.

This year the fair will be more accessible to the residents of San Miguel, filling Zeferino Gutiérrez Park (in front of the Glorieta San Luis Rey) with color and life from January 30st to February 13th.

The Department of Environment and Sustainability has everything ready for the development of the 69th edition of “Feria de la Candelaria”, with the participation of local and foreign nurseries, which also integrates an artistic and cultural program for the enjoyment of families.

“You are welcome to the Zeferino Gutiérrez Park, to the 70th edition of the Candelaria Fair. There will be many cultural events, didactic events, workshops for children. The park is lighted and beautiful. You can walk, there are walkways where you can enjoy different types of plants and different types of stalls, there is access for people with disabilities, there are green areas, there is a lake, there will also be exhibitors from the Mexican Republic with different types of plants,” said Ernesto Berra, head of the municipal agency.

“Public transportation arrives right at the door of the park. The access to the park is excellent. There are parking areas with the confidence that you can leave your vehicle outside (the park), because the park and its surroundings are monitored,” added Berra López.

With ample hours from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., San Miguel residents and visitors will be able to enjoy the exhibition and sale of seeds, flowers, plants, fruit trees, home decorating and gardening accessories; they will also be able to indulge their palates in the food area and enjoy musical and scenic performances and environmental education workshops. All this in a clean and safe environment.

The activities promote healthy family coexistence; schedules and presentations can be consulted on the official social networks of the Municipal Government of San Miguel de Allende 2024 – 2027.

“More than 100 exhibitors are coming, some local and others from the state of Puebla, and some from Toluca. It will run from January 30th to February 13th. We hope to see you there in the park from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day. The shows will start at 6:00 p.m. We’ll post the schedule so you can bring your children, or come yourselves; we’ll be waiting for you there,” he said.
