An Artesanal/Craft Fair showcasing local talent will take place from July 28 to August 2 in the Main Garden, featuring 55 producers from San Miguel, and is part of a policy promoted by Mayor Mauricio Trejo aimed at strengthening the local economy from the ground up by supporting those who keep traditions alive and provide a livelihood for hundreds of families.
The fair will run from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., offering residents and visitors unique pieces crafted by the hands of San Miguel artisans.
“We will have 55 local artisans from San Miguel de Allende—producers who, since Mayor Mauricio Trejo took office, have been a key focus of his administration: the strengthening of local artisan producers,” said Tania Castillo de la Peña, Director of Tourism for San Miguel de Allende.
In addition to generating economic activity, this fair represents a clear commitment to preserving traditional crafts as part of the municipality’s social fabric, a consistent focus of the current administration.
Through these initiatives, the municipal government is consolidating a model where economic development goes hand in hand with identity, strengthening San Miguel from within its community.
