Andrew Osta, a celebrated artist known for his evocative and surreal pieces often pushes the boundaries of traditional art. He uses naive symbolic imagery but has an unmistakably painterly style. He blends the boundaries between figurative and abstract, simple and complex, personal and universal. The artist’s ability to evoke profound emotions through his work is what has drawn so many to collect his oils and prints. Especially popular are the paintings that celebrate the fun and whimsical side of Mexican life in general and San Miguel’s special magic in particular. For over 20 years now, Osta continues to inspire and challenge audiences with his unique artistic vision.
