We present a string quartet for the first time in a fall season with the acclaimed Affinity Quartet. Formed in 2015 at the Australian National Academy of Music and now based in Madrid, the Affinity Quartet made history in 2023 as the first Australian ensemble to win the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition, sweeping its top three prizes. Affinity have earned praise for ‘captivating playing’ (Süddeutsche Zeitung), and ‘flawless ensemble’ (Limelight Magazine). The concert includes quartets by Beethoven and Mozart, and Webern’s Langsamer Satz.
