El Tequio de San Miguel, Scenic Arts Research and Production Center presents.
At the beginning of 1811, the main leaders of the insurgent movement that began its armed stage in September 1810 were captured in Acatita de Baján. They were taken to Chihuahua, where they were tried, being shot afterwards. This trial was described in a text older than 200 years; nevertheless, this document was publicly known just about 60 years ago. This constitutes the factual basis for this play: “Doscientos años cabalgando”, which merit is that spectators listen Allende’s thoughts in his own words.
We call your attention to our live theater presentation this coming Friday, June the 26th and 27th at the Ignacio Allende’s house museum. We would love to reach out more interested people, this time we will provide a program with a detailed information in English about every single scene of the play, to facilitate the comprehension of the plot of it. We expect to broaden the attendees, for people based in San Miguel who do not speak Spanish, who would enjoy being knowledgeable about the insurgent hero, whose last name is a given tribute from the city of San Miguel de Allende.
