On the outskirts of San Miguel de Allende is located Hacienda San José Lavista, a beautiful wine project of recreational experiences and dreamy landscapes, known for being one of the favorite venues in the area for wedding celebrations and special events.

Hacienda San José Lavista offers some of the most beautiful views just outside of San Miguel de Allende, as well as a wonderful space for wine experiences and gastronomic culture. Conceived in 2010, the Hacienda San José Lavista project was consolidated with the purpose of being a wine space of architectural beauty and a natural atmosphere. Its construction takes up old materials, consolidating itself as a Mexican colonial-style hacienda, made up of vaults, exposed brick walls, adobe beams, interior patios, cellars, antique furniture, and romantic gardens.

Their winery works under an artisanal and first-class concept, respecting the characteristics of their grapes and terroir to offer high-quality wines; the latter is a modular part of the project, sharing an important part of the enological richness in San Miguel de Allende. The winery and vineyards can be visited through different special experiences, such as wine tasting, cheese, and charcuterie pairing or three-course tasting pairing – prior reservation is required -.

Hacienda San José Lavista also has a country cuisine restaurant, perfect to surround yourself with the aromas of its vineyards and appreciate the local ingredients through a comforting meal. Each of their dishes is made from fresh products and prepared over an open fire, resulting in creations such as their beet confit salad, their fungi risotto – guajillo chile, hoja santa, seasonal kombu mushrooms, and burnt butter -, or their lamb ribs with creamy polenta and seasonal vegetables.

Hacienda San José Lavista is one of the best places to celebrate weddings and special occasions because of its wine-producing atmosphere and panoramic views of natural landscapes. It has incredible outdoor spaces – such as its Main Garden and terraces – as well as a beautiful chapel and luxury suites for accommodations. Its capacity reaches up to 800 guests, with a high-quality service that can include guided tours, catering, and a wine cellar.
