Civic act and parade take place in San Miguel de Allende

Guanajuato. Municipal authorities carried out the civic act and parade commemorating the 212th anniversary of Independence.

The authorities of San Miguel de Allende met at 10 a.m. in the main garden, to begin with, a civic act in memory of the heroes of independence, honoring the flag and mounting a wreath of flowers in the house museum of Allende.

Fabiola Correa, the syndic of the city council, commented that a little more than two centuries ago, men and women left Dolores Hidalgo with the firm conviction to fight for a cause.

After the civic act, the parade commemorating the 212th anniversary of the independence of Mexico began.

The parade included the San Miguel de Allende municipal police, Civil Protection, Red Cross, SMA Firefighters and Paramedics, volunteer firefighters from the patronage, and 45 educational institutions as well as the charros and skirmishes of San Miguel
