Guanajuato, second place with more scorpion stings

Every day, an average of 94 people are treated for scorpion stings in Guanajuato, the second state in the country with the highest frequency of this type of care, according to the epidemiological bulletin of the Ministry of Health of the Mexican Government.
The report for Guanajuato shows 10,147 people treated so far this year for scorpion stings, the frequency was higher in women with 5,718 cases, this number is also the highest nationally in this population sector.
The number of men stung by scorpions reached 4,429, third by gender nationwide.
In general terms, the first place where most scorpion stings are treated corresponds to Jalisco with 10,132.
Guerrero (9,396) is the only state that increased compared to the same period in 2021 (9,137).
According to the federal report, the other states decreased their frequency by an average of 1,000 cases compared to 2021. Morelos (4,966) and Puebla (3,463) follow.
The other states registered less than 3 thousand cases and for example, Nuevo Leon only had 6 stings so far, it is the state with fewer attentions of this type.
