Ainhoa Manero wins in the 1.40 m. event of the CSI2* Otomí Grand Prix de México

Mexico is celebrating the CSI2* Otomí Grand Prix, a showjumping competition where a large number of national and international riders come together to compete for eight days at the facilities of the Club Otomí Residencial Hípico located in San Miguel de Allende, a colonial-era city located in the central Mexican highlands, in Guanajuato.
In the first part of the event held from May 5 to 8, the Spanish rider Ainhoa Manero Benavente took part, winning first place in the 1.40 m. International Jumping Competition with two stars on Sunday. The Aragonese rider, who also participated a few weeks ago in the International of the Global Champions Tour of Mexico, won with ‘Zidane Santa Rosa’ to the thirty-seven riders participating in this Jump Off, where only three entered the barrage and two finished with double zero.
The best time was for Manero (42.1), leaving the second position for the Argentine rider Jeronimo Giménez Herrera who finished the tiebreaker in 43.98 ridings ‘Chalawino PS’. The third was the local Diego Romo Gonzalez with ‘Huracan’ and four penalty points.
The second part of the Otomi Grand Prix 2022 will begin on Thursday, May 12 and the second International Two Star will be held until Sunday, May 16.
