We had lunch at “Ricky and Lucy’s” yesterday. It seemed that maybe there were fewer people there than there were after R&L were first mentioned on the CL. In any event, if anything, their grilled cheese sandwiches are better than ever. They really are the best that I and my wife have ever had (and my wife is quite the expert on grilled cheese sandwiches). The tomato soup that comes with the sandwich is really outstanding for dipping the sandwich. The night before we ate there Lucia had made a very moist and fresh carrot cake. We of course shared a slice. Delicious ! We highly recommend Ricky and Lucy’s (across from Panio on Salida a Celaya). If you haven’t been there yet you should go. If you have been there, go back. We have had the same grilled cheese sandwich all 3 times we have been there but I am quite confident that their other offerings are equally good. …
Just had their breakfast steak and eggs….OUTSTANDING…..the steak..medium rare, eggs poached, carmelized onions all on buttermilk toast. Open 8 am to 5pm. Closed Sunday. Limited parking in front. WOW rating!!!!
The best Cobb salad I’ve had in a very long time. Many other salads plus Cubano and other sandwiches. Lovely service, gentle jazz playing, open air and outdoor seating. Tables sanitized before seating. Open Tuesday-Sunday. Open at 11.
