We used HouseSit México last April when we went stateside for a visit. We
got to interview the people that applied. I found a,couple with lots of
references from Kelowna, BC. They arrived early for orientation and stayed
one night at the end. They took awesome care of our cats, gard n and house.
We were thrilled with them.
An excellent opportunity for both sides.

I use HouseSitMexico when I need a house/pet sitter and I highly recommend the service. SMADirectory might be an option for some, however, a couple years back a scam artist caused me major problems before she scooted out of town to Oaxaca where she employed the same scams before another person was able to get a demanda on her (I did too) and then she moved on to another expat community. One of her tactics is to promote herself as a house/pet sitter, among other things like in-house personal care aide. I like HouseSitMexico because the owner of the site works hard to connect good folks with other good folks, thus I have more of a sense of security. I have no vested interest in HSM although the owner lived in SMA and Patzcuaro a few years ago; I know her from those days.
