I was in Dr. Blanca’s this morning for my twice yearly “body check” and she asked me to let patients know that she is now booking almost 2 months in advance for a dermatology check-up. So if you call this week for an appointment, she can probably see you in the beginning of August. If you are leaving next week/next month, she will put you on a waiting list but she may not be able to accommodate you. If it is truly an urgent matter, not a check up, tell her assistant Laura when you call.
As you know if you have ever been in to see her, she is wonderfully thorough and a check-up like this takes at least an hour. I have had melanoma so I am deeply grateful for a doctor who takes the time (and the photographs!) to ensure that nothing goes undetected. So I am putting a note in my calendar to call in October for my next appointment in December. Highly recommend that those of you who see her regularly once or twice a year do the same.
Dra Blanca is an exceptionally caring and remarkably thorough physician. She took immediate action , calling me at 7:30 in the morning and fit me in to do a biopsy the same day because she thought I had a melanoma. When it came back negative she still double checked and spoke two pathologists just to make sure I was clear and phoned me a few times to a monitor my healing.
