Ensamble Tlapalli
A Journey Through Chamber Music
As part of the FASMA 2026 program, Ensamble Tlapalli presents a concert celebrating the richness of chamber music through a program that bridges musical traditions and historical periods. The ensemble’s artistic vision connects the enduring legacy of classical masterpieces with contemporary audiences through expressive and refined performances.
The ensemble is formed by distinguished Mexican musicians: Paola Tovar Deanda (piano), Eduardo del Valle (violin), Patricia Velázquez (viola), and Jorge Flores (cello). Together, they bring remarkable artistry, technical excellence, and a shared passion for the intimate dialogue that defines chamber music.
Two Masterpieces, Two Musical Worlds
The program features Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, K. 478, one of the landmark works of the classical chamber repertoire, admired for its expressive depth, structural elegance, and sophisticated interplay among the four instruments.
The concert continues with JoaquÃn Turina’s Piano Quartet in A minor, Op. 67, a defining work of twentieth-century Spanish nationalism that blends classical forms with the vibrant colors, rhythms, and spirit of Andalusian musical traditions. Together, these works create a fascinating musical journey from Viennese Classicism to the rich soundscape of Spain.
