Born out of a deep love for our community and a desire to fill critical gaps in local animal welfare, we are thrilled to introduce Animal Angels SMA. Operating as a 501(c)(3), our organization is led by Joe Howell, Ashlee Lane, and Kiko Rodriguez.

We will tackle San Miguel’s animal welfare challenges through three core pillars:

*Nourish*
No one should ever have to choose between feeding their family and feeding their animals. Within the next two months, we will launch San Miguel’s first animal food bank. This initiative will provide vital nourishment to local pets and support families and rescuers across SMA. This is our first initiative that we are rolling out because we know we can make an immediate impact with this.

*Transport*
We will alleviate shelter overcrowding by bridging borders. As experts in cross-border animal transport, we safely move dogs north, placing them into loving, permanent homes across the US and Canada.

*Educate*
True change starts with prevention. By teaching our community’s children responsible pet care, we will empower the next generation with the knowledge required for lifelong animal stewardship.

Our Commitment to the Community
We are here to be a resource for all rescue groups & families in need in San Miguel. We plan on actively partnering with the government, local NGOs, businesses, and the community to maximize our collective impact.
