Where Art Becomes Opportunity.
An evening celebrating the remarkable talent of San Miguel de Allende’s artistic community, where original works of art become an investment in the future of local children.
This special exhibition features a collection of one-of-a-kind traditional Mexican Equipale chairs, each transformed into an original work of art by a distinguished local artist. No two chairs are alike. Each is a unique expression of creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage.
The exhibition has been thoughtfully curated by Harvey Oxenberg, respected art collector and dealer, whose decades of experience and discerning eye have helped discover and champion emerging artistic talent. Under his curation, each chair becomes far more than furniture—it becomes a collectible work of contemporary Mexican art.
Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy wine, meet participating artists, explore the collection, and bid on these extraordinary pieces during a silent auction benefiting Ojalá Niños.
Every chair purchased helps create opportunity for children and families in the rural Otomí community of San Miguel Viejo.
Through the Ojalá Niños Learning & Community Center, children receive free access to programs that nurture creativity, confidence, and possibility—including visual arts, music, literacy, computer technology, environmental education, health and wellness, ethical leadership, and academic support.
These experiences do more than teach skills.
They inspire curiosity.
They cultivate confidence.
They awaken dreams.
For many children, discovering art, music, technology, or creative expression becomes the moment they begin to imagine a future beyond the limitations of poverty.
This evening celebrates the belief that creativity has the power to transform lives—not only for the artists who create these remarkable works, but also for the children whose futures they will help shape.
Join us for an unforgettable evening where collecting art becomes an act of generosity, and every chair tells a story of hope.
Original Art. Extraordinary Artists. Lasting Impact.
