After a lifetime devoted to the arts, Tim has earned membership in many of the most prestigious art organizations and has received hundreds of awards. He has served as a judge for numerous art competitions and has taught painting for over thirty years, including a decade as an adjunct professor across the United States.
His work has been exhibited in more than fifty galleries nationwide, including those in Aspen, New York, Los Angeles, Scottsdale, and Santa Fe. His paintings have also been featured in numerous art museums, with three institutions acquiring his work for their permanent collections. Notably, Liberty Supine Upon the Altar of Freedom has been added to the permanent collection of the Museum of European Art Modern in Barcelona, Spain.
Tim’s passion for art began early—at just five years old, he knew he would dedicate his life to painting. By fourteen, he completed his first commissioned oil painting, and by nineteen, he was consigning work with one of the most prominent galleries in Scottsdale, Arizona.
His realistic oil paintings explore a wide range of subjects, unified by a strong command of design, light, and color. Collectors frequently comment on the lifelike quality of his work. Tim describes his approach as verisimilitude, achieved through painting from life and a meticulous, time-intensive process.
His work is collected internationally, with notable collectors including Alice Walton, founder of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art; Amon Carter of Fort Worth; and Fred Ross, founder of the Art Renewal Center.
Tim believes that artwork should speak for itself—that true power in art will be recognized, appreciated, and ultimately collected.
