Another tradition to look out for is the collection of the toy dolls from the merchants of the Mercados ( Markets ) with a parade to the Jardin accompanied by a musical band..

Quema de Los Monos ( Burning of the toy dolls ). The dolls are collected with a prossession to the Jardin where they will be blown up as an offering to the Archangel St. Michael.. the toys are filled with traditional treats candies, once lit the treats fall to the ground where the children run with anticipation and collect as many treats as they can..

TOY DOLL COLLECTION PROCESSION: Ignacio Ramírez Market, San Juan de Dios and merchants on Guadalupe Avenue, accompanied by Musical band.

TRADITIONAL BURNING OF THE TOY DOLLS:
October 4th – 2:00 pm Jardin principal
In charge of the merchants of the Ignacio Ramírez and San Juan de Dios markets.
