The Chapel of Jimmy Ray Gallery opens a new exhibit with art, music, and food. From the Chapel: “The wisdom of summer is that it teaches us to be fully awake, engaged, and open to everything around us. Summer is life. A life that is precious and wild and moves too fast. Join us and our artists, both old and new at the Chapel of Jimmy Ray Gallery for our celebration of summer.”
Artists whose work will be exhibited include Anando McLauchlin, Ann Chamberlin, Carlos Ramirez, Christy Higgins, Edward Swift, Luisa Lopez, Richard Schultz, and Meryl Truett.
Casa de las Ranas
Casa de Las Ranas is located in the small village of La Cieneguita, Mexico near San Miguel de Allende. The compound is dedicated to the Outlanders of the world, those who have chosen to explore the paths less trodden. The New York Times described it as “a Force” and Anado and Richard have chosen to construct a fanciful home installation that embraces all that is adorned and glorified. The LA Times described it as “the happiest home in San Miguel”. In the words of Anado, Casa de Las Ranas is “an irreverent gumbo of the creative, joyful, sacred, profane, dangerous, and adorned.” Tours are available upon appointment at:anado@madebyanado.com
About Anado
Anado McLauchlin is an Assemblage/Mosaic Artist living in the countryside near San Miguel de Allende Mexico. Anado culls from his experience from travelling every which way combined with long stints in Oklahoma, San Francisco, New York City, India, the High Oregon Desert and his beloved home in Mexico. Along with his partner Richard Schultz and his trusted artistic assistant Carlos Ramirez Galvan, he has created the ever evolving Casa de Las Ranas Compound which includes The Chapel of Jimmy Ray Gallery. People from all over the world have made the trek to the campo in the desert highlands of Mexico to view his ever-evolving home installation.
