What a day at Control Canino!

Little puppy accidentally got bit in the eye during feeding time so, off to the vet we go! Back to CC …

2 dogs returned to owner; Bubba and Joe.

2 dogs died in their kennels, Stanley and Robbie of what, we do not know

4 dogs were euthanized no matter how hard we tried to find homes (temporary or permanent )

A little puppy made it out today thanks to Angelitos Sanctuario & Aaryn Lynn.

Plus, a sweet old boy who’s estimated to be about 15 got out thanks to the compassion of our dear soul Brit Ugo ~ Abuelo is at the vet currently and will be taken home with Brittany tomorrow.

Another dog, Pirula who was hit by a car earlier this week will be going to an adopter also today

The lil puppy with the eye bite was treated, given antibiotics and is in temporary care for the next few days.

It is cold and wet here in SMA with 22 puppies and two moms in one kennel and they aren’t overly happy about

it plus 19 other dogs in kennels and more on the way in we heard as our shift ended which makes 43 in custody at CC. In addition we have 18 dogs in temporary foster situations.

I realize there are many rescue groups, organizations and individuals here in SMA which is of course a blessing but please, please understand the distinct difference ~ ours is not a shelter or a rescue facility. We, the volunteers at Yo , care for those dogs who find themselves for one reason or another at CC. Part of our care is feeding, walking, loving, taking them to vets, paying for treatment and doing everything in our power to find them homes before their time is up. When we say “we urgently need” something, we mean it’s generally life or death.

Thank you to the generosity of all the individuals who donate, foster, adopt, volunteer and share our posts We need YOU and we’re so very very grateful for your continued support

Kimberly Farris Bost and her husband Dylan host our PayPal account and act as our treasures. You can donate there or if you and I are personal friends and you’re Canadian you can always etransfer if you prefer (thank you to those who have and regularly do)
