Ballet Folklorico 49th Anniversary Show [] Teatro Angela Peralta

Here comes the important Anniversary Celebration of the Ballet Folklorico de SMA! Each year it seems to come a little faster… or it is that the years seem shorter….as I get older!

On July 25th, 2024, we will be celebrating the 49th anniversary of the founding of the Ballet! Remarkable that they are still alive and well… mostly thanks to their remarkable founder: la Maestra Gloria Navarrete, my great friend in SMA.  and considering that  the local government has been less than generous!

Tickets are available at the Angela Peralta Theater box office.

The Company now has 55 dancers in 4 groups, and we are especially happy that several young men joined recently. All groups have been learning new dances for the event, and we are already thinking of the 50th Anniversary next year!, We want to make it a city wide event!

If you are in San Miguel now I hope we will see you at the event in a few days… If not, I hope you will be able to see the shows we will be having at Casa Europa for the Day of the Dead and for the Candelaria early February.
